OrtoSar d.o.o. Sarajevo is a company dealing in production, trade, and application of orthopedic aids. The establishing and start of activities of the company are closely tied with the war period in BiH. OrtoSar, with a group of distinguished enthusiasts from various areas, started a project for the humanitarian care of disabled persons. Considering that the company priority is the manufacturing of orthopedic aids, it is very important to point out that most members of the team (eight technicians) own various certificates received during educations in various orthopedic centers around Europe. 

The assortment of OrtoSar comprises of the following products, exclusively manufactured according to an individual principle: 
Upper extremity prosthetics 
Forearm prosthetics:

Upper arm prosthetics:

  • Prosthetics for upper arm amputations,
  • Prosthetics for elbow exarticulation,
  • Prosthetics for shoulder joint exarticulation,

Lower extremity prosthetics:

  • prosthetics for amputated feet,
  • below knee prosthetics,
  • prosthetics for knee disarticulation,
  • thigh prosthetics,
  • prosthetics for hip exarticulation

All of the above prosthetics are made of standard and highly sophisticated materials and modules. All types of orthotics:

  • TLSO orthotic for thoracic spine,
  • TH/L orthotic,
  • RGO walking orthotic,
  • AFO and DAFO orthotic,
  • Hessing orthotic,
  • Peroneal orthotic – fixed and with joint,
  • USB orthotic for foot correction,
  • All types of functional orthotic for upper extremities.

Orthopedic inlays:

  • Individual standard based on plaster cast,
  • Individual with several correction points,
  • Silicone and gel inlays,
  • Original sport inlays (tennis, basketball, soccer, golf, etc.).

For all types of inlays manufactured exclusively individually we use modern materials used across Europe.

Orthopedic shoes – own production:

  • For special foot deformations,
  • AV (anti-varus) footwear for both feet or for only one foot, for children,
  • For diabetics,
  • For shortening of feet lengthwise,
  • For shortening height wise (from 2 to10 cm).

OrtoSar provides its services across BiH, according to needs, in special situations, and also performing house visits. An important part of company activities is the education on new technologies, materials, and production of materials. Education is organized at our workshops or at other workshops and prosthetic centers in BiH, as well as in neighboring countries. We are regular visitors of international orthopedic equipment fairs establishing contacts, and gaining the opportunity to receive all the necessary information, both on new products and the manner of presentation of products, in a short time. 

OrtoSar currently does business with 10 companies across the world, as their direct importer and distributer of products and materials from similar areas: prosthetics, orthotics, rehabilitation equipment (wheelchairs, crutches, canes, supports, bandages, collars, etc...), anti-decubitus program (pillows, mattresses), and other products as needed.
